Shirin Rezaee, born in 1987 in Hamedan, Iran, is a
photographer currently based in Tehran. She
graduated in Visual Communication from Tehran Art University, shaping her artistic perspective
around the subtleties of city life.
In her photographs, Shirin explores city corners, urban landscapes, and the interaction
between people and their surroundings. She takes a modest approach to social interactions
within her frames, capturing people in a way that reflects their existence without making them
the focal point.
Her work is focused on the aftermath, highlighting traces left behind in urban spaces, writings
on walls, changes in object configurations, and alterations in scenes. Her photographs evoke
the essence of once-busy places, reminiscent of the lingering scent after someone has
departed.
Her artistic process involves purposeful walking sessions, covering paths others have
crossed, to remember and record the subtle imprints they left behind. Through her lens, She
invites viewers to reflect on the transient nature of human presence and the enduring echoes
of moments passed.
